Awards within Education

Let us take this opportunity to congratulate all the students of Sagamok for their achievements this year! Education is a gift and a privilege afforded to few, so it is with great pride that Sagamok Anishnawbek Education acknowledges the dedication of all students along with their family/caregiver members, on attaining this achievement. Lighting the Path to Your Future begins with you, but the Education Department is here to support you on your path to reaching your full potential.

Many don’t realize that education is about so much more than studying, writing tests, completing assignments, and receiving grades.  That, in itself, is no small feat, but education also requires learning more about yourself, where your strengths and weaknesses lie, where your interests are, and working hard and applying yourself to balance these competencies. It also requires working with others, resolving conflicts/disagreements, acknowledging differences and embracing them, and doing so while attempting to follow the principles of the 7 Grandfather Teachings. We commend you for putting forth this effort for yourself and for your community! You are on your own path to greatness and a life path that you are destined to fulfill with your unique talents and capabilities.
